As some of you might have already read Marie Kondo’s awesome book “The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing”, this is one of her bigger tips.
Stacking your clothes one on top of the other, leading to no clear view of what’s underneath as well as potentially ruining your stack when you pull stuff out. Instead fold and store VERTICALLY, which will allow you to have clear view of all your clothing.
Update: I got asked the question “does it also save space so you can store MORE clothing?”. Unfortunately I didn’t find that this method gave me any additional storage capacity, but the good news is that it also did not decrease it either. So with the upside of being able to see all your clothing, this is still a really good hack.
